To achieve your goal, as quickly and affordably as possible, it is important that you regularly attend your lesson and follow the advice and recommendations of your Instructor. Before undertaking any private practice, please consult your Instructor. They can help you to structure your practice so that it is both safe and beneficial. If you should need to contact your Instructor, please do so during normal business hours.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

You must be able to read a number plate from a distance of 20.5 metres. Your Instructor will conduct a simple eye test on your first lesson. You must also hold a valid driving licence with either full or provisional entitlement to drive in the UK. Please bring your licence (photo card and counterpart) to each lesson and also to your test.

LESSONS
Lessons will start and finish at the agreed location. If at short notice you change where you need to be picked up from or dropped off, you may incur additional cost or reduced lesson time. Lessons are normally 2 hours in duration, but your Instructor may be able to offer longer or shorter periods, if required.

PAYMENT
Please pay your Instructor before the start of each lesson. Cheques should be made payable to the Instructor (not the school) and accompanied by a cheque guarantee card.

PRICES
The price of lessons will be stated from the outset. Price increases will only be made when absolutely necessary and you will be notified well in advance of any such changes.

CANCELLATIONS

If you wish to cancel a lesson, you must give your Instructor a minimum of 48 hours notice. If for any reason you are unable to give adequate notice, we reserve the right to charge for the lost lesson.

THEORY & PRACTICAL TESTS
Your Instructor will advise you when to book your tests and how to prepare for them. On the day of your practical test, you will be charged for the use of your Instructor's car. This fee usually covers 2 hours, but may vary due to locality and distances involved. In the event of your test being cancelled by the DSA, you may apply to them for a refund of the test fee and also the cost of using the car.

FITNESS TO DRIVE
If, for any reason, your Instructor feels you are unfit to drive, your lesson will be forfeited and you may still be charge. N.B. Some prescription medications can seriously reduce your ability to concentrate. Always check the label and consult your doctor, if necessary.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Your Instructor has been highly trained and has passed the Driving Standards Agency's strict examinations. Instructor's standard are also checked periodically by the agency. At no time should there be any form of personal contact between Instructor and student, other than a formal greeting or in cases of emergency, where the Instructor has to take action to prevent an accident. Your Instructor will always act in a professional manner, and provide a well cared for and highly maintained vehicle. Whilst every effort will be made to keep good time, road and traffic conditions, bad weather or mechanical problems may cause unavoidable delays in your Instructor's schedule. Your Instructor will try to make up any lost time to you, or arrange another lesson as soon as possible and at your convenience.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
We at STORM value our customers greatly and work hard to meet all their expectations in full. However, in the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with any aspect of our service, please discuss your concern, in the first instance, with your Instructor. If you are still dissatisfied, please contact us on the number below and ask to speak to Daniel Rooke, Principal ADI.

NB: STORM Driving School Instructors are self employed, independent franchise operators and all contracts for the provision of driving tuition are strictly between the instructor and the pupil.
